Kinetic is a new generation of interactive input devices. Building on the well understood principles of kinesthetic learning, Kinetic puts the fun back into learning while offering a highly effective means for teachers, therapists and carers to achieve solid learning outcomes.
Kinetic is a wireless switch device that can detect its orientation, as well as movement and tapping thanks to it’s internal gyrosope. This becomes highly tangible when used with Magic Room, for example the device can be placed on a wheelchair tray close to an individuals hand, when their hand hits the surface of tray, the Kinectic will detect movement and trigger an output reward in Magic Room. This enables those with limited gross motor skills to interact and make a mark in their environment. The device can also be inserted into objects such as soft cushions, toys and balls, as the user squeeze, throws or catches the object, Kinetic will detect the movement and trigger an output reward.
Kinetic can also be used as a switch device in a pool environment. It can be placed in a floating, waterproof box to work as a floating switch in the water.
A Pretorian SimplyWorks receiver, such as Receive:2 is required to enable pairing between the Kinetic and Desktop/Laptop.
